Chrystelle Gouy

Born in 1979. She lives and works in the Saint Etienne region. After two years of studies in applied arts and a research master’s degree in Arts at the Jean Monnet University in Saint Etienne, she taught for ten years in design schools and other higher education establishments.

In parallel, she has been painting since 2004. Urban art and retro sensibility are now her primary source of inspiration. She comes to play with representations of contrasting black & white life scenes, rubbing shoulders with the vintage motif and sometimes realism. These compositions become protagonists, storytellers.
