SoRi (Sophie Richard) is a visual artist born in 1979 in the South-East of France. Always attracted to drawing, her artistic talents were soon noticed: at 13, she was given the mission to paint frescoes on the walls of her school, her first opportunity to work with acrylics and inks. At 18, she began studying fashion design in Lyon where she discovered her passion for working with materials. The material, precisely, is what awakens her senses, and SoRi transmits it to us through her works: textures, patterns, Wax fabrics, gilding… You only have to look closely at Africa Wax and Women with turbans to feel the call of touch.
