Pec is an artist from Lyon. Born in 1975, he is part of the second generation of graffiti artists to arrive in Lyon. You may not be able to put a face to his name, but if you’re familiar with the Lyon landscape, you’ve already come across his KNAR, a generous, colorful bird that roams the walls, bridges and ring road of Lyon.
Pec’s Knar has become a symbol: a sign of his passage through the streets. In Le Petit Bulletin, he modestly explains: “I start from the principle that you’ve been bludgeoned enough with all the ads, all the slogans, all the things you come across without realizing it, which ultimately spoil your daily visual life. I put on a spot of color, it comes into play on the person, it makes them smile, I’ve done my job”.
