Géraldine Pontier creates hammered sculptures with a delicate patina. The artist’s characters are “the guardians of a fragile and precious humanity”.

“I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember, but I’ve only recently started selling my sculptures. I work with composite materials, but can have them duplicated in bronze.
My aim is to express my life’s journey through form. I give a static rendering of the emotions that drive us. I try to find serenity and elegance in the balance of my compositions.
I work on metal bases and then develop my structure using a material from the composition (paperclay/resin)”.
